Story
The name of this restaurant is borrowed from the old tin mine situated right on this property, Som Chol Tin Mine(เหมืองศรมชล). Som Chol means 'source of water' or 'beginning of water'. Originally this name came from a ship that transported tin named Rue Som Chol, 'Rue' meaning ship in Thai. During its life time this ship never incurred any problems. Due to superstition the owners from that generation decided to adopt the name Som Chol for this tin mine as well.
